PureSCADA is a Microsoft Server, SQL Server and Wonderware® based Human Machine Interface (HMI). It is built using Wonderware® System Platform 3.0 and provides a platform for operators, process engineers, foremen and technicians to monitor, manage and optimize processes for the Oil and Gas Industry. Although PureSCADA is currently used only in the Oil and Gas Industry, it can be configured for any process and with modifications it can be used in any industry.

Wonderware® CertifiedArchestra Certified System Integrator

PureSCADA is a Wonderware® certified complete Oil and Gas Industry application ready to be pointed at your RTU's. The most common RTU types have been configured for you. PureSCADA can be customized for any PLC, DCS or RTU type encountered. In addition, PureSCADA is configurable by the user or your favorite integrator. This is useful when a custom well or RTU load type is encountered.

 

Finally a control system for the Oil and Gas Industry that really does Supervisory Control. You can tell at a glance how well a whole field is producing without intimate knowledge of each individual well. PureSCADA provides reports, alarms, call outs, data storage, and process data management on all assets and calls attention to assets producing lower than normal rates, all within an easy-to-use graphical user interface.

 

PureSCADA can reduce the amount of fuel it takes to produce a well...by optimizing the operator's time to attend wells that are off their targets and calling attention to assets that need maintenance.

 

 

No Need For a System Integrator...

The PureSCADA application is built to be maintainable by the user. If a new well or asset needs to be added, there are tools for the user to quickly and easily add assets to the system automatically. This configuration screen will configure screens, alarming, communication paths and reporting for the new asset. There is no need to have a system integrator perform these tasks saving time and money.

 

PureSCADA has a bulk asset load utility which will quickly add hundreds of similar wells at a time to the control system. This configures the trending, alarms, data acquisition and user interfaces all at one time.

 

PureSCADA is accessible using a web browser on any system anywhere in the world.

Organization Based on Your Operation

PureSCADA is organized based on the logical structure of the field or equipment assignments. This makes for very meaningful reports based on the way the users business is structured. For example all assets assigned to a route and a route assigned to an operator and operators assigned to a foreman. This hierarchy applies to sorting reports to check key performance indicators of field production. If the user needs to follow another reporting hierarchy it can be modified.

By organizing PureSCADA based on operations it makes training new operators easier. Navigation in PureSCADA can also be done by graphical methods using a map to “drill down” to a point of interest for more information.

Fast, User-Configurable On Demand Reporting

PureSCADA is built around a SQL server database which makes communication to other databases easy. With the core of the application built on a SQL database, reports are fast, user configurable, and an integral component of every asset. You can quickly assess if a well is producing at its potential or needs maintenance. PureSCADA includes preconfigured and dynamic trending. Any process variable can be compared to another for performance comparisons.

 

PureSCADA features on demand reporting that can instantly produce reports that can be sorted by asset, route, operator, or foreman. Operators can tell at a glance if wells are falling off in production or meeting production targets and can quickly identify assets in need of intervention. This allows for the prioritization of problem wells, saving both time and truck hours.

 

When PureSCADA is applied to a plunger lift RTU program or to a VFD controller such as a Sam Lufkin controller, the operator or engineer can optimize from PureSCADA by watching arrival times and flow rates or by pulling cards from the controller. They can then use the trend tools to compare before and after tuning of the well control algorithm.

Efficient Notification of Alarms

Alarm call outs can be configured to send emails, text messages or the alarms are announced through Microsoft’s text to speech features. PureSCADA has email and text features built in and can use any third party alarm messaging service.

 

Communication diagnostics are built in using SNMP alarms. The SNMP alarms will generate reports on alarms or poor communication so that maintenance can be organized. A well communication screen is offered to show communication status and is a graphical representation of an asset’s communication status. SNMP alarms can also be configured to show degrading communication paths or unauthorized network access.

A Completely Scalable Application

PureSCADA has developed from applications of over 3,000 wells and over 100,000 tags. It is capable of being distributed over multiple servers anywhere in the world and in multiple locations. This distributed deployment and development environment is completely scalable for small oil/gas fields to very large applications in multiple states or countries.

 

A company can decide to purchase all the equipment and licenses and have the system installed on their site or Pure Automation will offer a hosted solution complete with redundancy and backup strategy. This is designed to reduce the initial cost of the system and to provide IT assistance for smaller organizations. Lease or rental agreements can be put together for all aspects of the control system, RTU, radios, installation, service, maintenance, calibration and the PureSCADA application.
